The Auburn Police Department responded to a single-fatality vehicle collision into a home in the 4000 block of Auburn Way South at 2:45 a.m., Wednesday, April 5.

According to Auburn Police, the GMC Denali was eastbound when the driver lost control and crashed into the home. Multiple occupants were ejected, killing one person and critically injuring three others, who were all transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

No one inside the home was hurt.

“We haven’t released genders or ages yet, but they are all adults,” Kolby Crossley, public information officer for the Auburn Police Department, said Wednesday afternoon. “Speed absolutely played a factor, and the 2002 GMC Denali rolled multiple times before hitting the home … We don’t know if the deceased person was the driver or not since people were ejected. That’s all part of the investigation.”

The roadway was closed for several hours.
